Wireless interface

Using the DIR-806A wireless router, you can quickly organize a high-speed wireless network for computers and mobile devices at home and in the office. The router operates in the 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz band or in both bands simultaneously. The DIR-806A can act as an access point for connecting to a wireless network devices that work according to the standards 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n and 802.11ac (at speeds of up to 733 Mbps *). The router has many functions for wireless interface. The device supports several security standards (WEP, WPA / WPA2), filtering connected devices by MAC address, and also allows the use of WPS and WMM technologies.

Router mode

You can connect the DIR-806A in router mode to a cable or DSL modem or a dedicated Ethernet line to use a high-speed Internet connection to solve a wide range of professional tasks.

Access point mode

You can use the DIR-806A as an access point to create a wireless network or connect to a wired router.

Client function

The “client” function in the router mode allows using the DIR-806A as a WISP repeater, in the access point mode as a wireless network client and as a wireless repeater.

4 port switch

The built-in 4-port router switch allows you to connect computers equipped with Ethernet adapters, game consoles and other devices to your network.


The DIR-806A Wireless Router has a built-in firewall. Advanced security features minimize the impact of hackers and prevent intrusions into your network.
