In this manual – in detail about how to configure a wireless router (the same as a Wi-Fi router) to work with wired home Internet from Rostelecom. See also: TP-Link TL-WR740N Firmware
The following steps will be considered: how to connect TL-WR740N for configuration, the creation of an Internet connection by Rostelecom, how to set a password for Wi-Fi and how to configure IPTV on this router.
First of all, I would recommend setting up via a wired connection rather than Wi-Fi, this will save you from many questions and possible problems, especially for a novice user.
There are five ports on the back of the router: one WAN and four LANs. Connect the Rostelecom cable to the WAN port on the TP-Link TL-WR740N, and connect one of the LAN ports to the computer’s network card connector.
Turn on your Wi-Fi router.

And now be careful:
If you previously launched any Rostelecom or High-Speed connection to access the Internet, disconnect it and do not turn it on anymore – in the future, the router will install this connection and then “distribute” it to other devices. If you didn’t specifically launch any connections on the computer, i.e. The Internet was accessible via the local network, and on the line you have the Rostelecom ADSL modem installed, then you can skip this entire step.
Launch your favorite browser and enter either tplinklogin.net or 192.168.0.1 in the address bar, press Enter. At the login and password prompt, enter admin (in both fields). These data are also indicated on the sticker on the back of the router in the item “Default Access”.
The main page of the TL-WR740N settings web interface opens, where all the steps for configuring the device are performed.
